The national museum of New Zealand is just a stone's throw away from the restaurant and entertainment area of Wellington city. Inside the modern building is a host of displays, models, simulation rides, and activities designed to keep you entertained for hours on end. While admission through the door is free, charges may apply to some sections including some of the simulation rides. The museum features a restaurant, a cafe, and a souvenir shop with almost every piece of Kiwiana imaginable. Outside you can feed the ducks in the pond or make the most of the unique background for taking photos.
